Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, liebe Freund*innen und Kolleg*innen, verehrtes Publikum,

Weihnachtszeit ist im Theater bekanntlich Märchenzeit: Das Helmi verwandelt das Märchen Der Teufel mit den dreigoldenen Haaren in ein Trashpuppentheaterhorrormusical, das zwischen Revolutionsgeschichte mit einer Prise Game of Thrones und einer Familienaufstellung mit dem Teufel angesiedelt ist und von der Macht der Ohnmacht und von klugen und fiesen Strategien erzählt. She She Pop wiederum präsentieren Mauern als gedankliche Fortsetzung von Schubladen und lädt erneut Gäste von beiden Seiten des Eisernen Vorhangs ein um sich gemeinsam aus dem Sumpf ihrer Lebenswelt und den Relikten ihrer Vergangenheit herauszuziehen und sich in imaginierten Möglichkeiten gemeinsam umzusehen. Und ONCE WE WERE ISLANDS laden mit Homecoming- Greatest Hits! zu einem kostenlosen Live-Hör-Event ein, um die Veröffentlichung ihrer Vinyl-EP zu zelebrieren, für die sie mit 13 queeren Künstler*innen kollaboriert haben.

Herbordt/Mohren zeigen in Stuttgart erneut ihre Arbeiten Das Schaudepot und Die Gesellschaft und dorthin reist auch Sahar Rahimi mit WOLF.

Das Trashpuppentheaterhorrormusical, frei nach dem Märchen Der Teufel mit den drei goldenen Haaren von den Gebrüdern Grimm, erzählt von der Macht der Ohnmacht und von klugen und fiesen Strategien. Eine Revolutionsgeschichte mit einer Prise Game of Thrones und einer Familienaufstellung mit dem Teufel.

Vor zehn Jahren saßen She She Pop in Schubladen Altersgenossinnen aus der DDR gegenüber. Als gedankliche Fortsetzung hat die Gruppe für Mauern erneut Gäste von beiden Seiten des Eisernen Vorhangs eingeladen. Ausgehend von einem Trümmerberg aus dokumentarischem Material wird die Bühne mit Hilfe zukunftsbeschwörender Kameratechnik zur Zeitkapsel. Darin sehen wir unseren Held*innen dabei zu, wie sie sich gemeinsam aus dem Sumpf ihrer Lebenswelt und den Relikten ihrer Vergangenheit herauszuziehen versuchen, um sich in imaginierten Möglichkeiten gemeinsam umzusehen.

8. Dezember 2022, 19 Uhr, Aquarium (Südblock) Berlin

Das Performancekollektiv ONCE WE WERE ISLANDS arbeitet mit 13 interdisziplinären queeren Künstler:innen zusammen, die sich auf Musik, Film, Bild und Text spezialisiert haben, um eine Sammlung von multi-medialen Kunstwerken zu schaffen, die als Antwort auf die queere Sprache Damiá und die politischen und künstlerischen Fragen, die sie aufwirft, entstanden sind. Die facettenreiche Performance besteht aus einer Vinyl-EP mit sieben eigens geschriebenen Songs in der Sprache Damiá, einem Buch mit Begleittexten, Porträts und Essays sowie einer Reihe von Kurzfilmen. Das Werk ist digital über ein Website-Archiv – www.queertongue.com – und in limitierter Auflage in analogen Formaten erhältlich. Am 2. Dezember 2022 wird die EP online veröffentlicht. Die Vinyl-EP und das Begleitbuch werden am 08. Dezember 2022 im Rahmen einer kostenlosen Live-Veranstaltung im queeren Community-Space Aquarium veröffentlicht. Postexemplare können auch im Voraus kostenlos über die Website angefordert werden.

Das Stuttgarter Künstler:innen-Duo Herbordt/Mohren öffnet Das Schaudepot für eine schnelle Performance in der Mittagspause. Im Schaudepot erwartet Sie eine Einführung in Die Gesellschaft als Performance und neue Forschungsgesellschaft mit Melanie Mohren und Bernhard Herbordt; eine Begegnung mit einer:einem Gesellschafter:in; ein Video-Archiv aller bisherigen Begegnungen; die Möglichkeit selbst zur:zum Gesellschafter:in zu werden oder solche vorzuschlagen und ein Gesellschaftsspiel.

Der Wolf ist tot, es lebe der Wolf. Ein neues Zeitalter einläutend, feiern wir mit ihnen den kurzen Moment einer Utopie von Liebe und Solidarität, die jedoch schon bald in neue Formen von Unterdrückung mutieren wird. Mit dem Rotkäppchen-Stoff im Gepäck, erzählt WOLF eine blutrünstige Lovestory, die für einen Augenblick eine freiheitliche Vision aufscheinen lässt, bevor die Revolution ihre Kinder im ewigen Kreislauf von Fressen und Gefressenwerden doch wieder verschlingt.

Rabea Kiel und Matthias Meppelink: Rrrr

10. Dezember 2022, 18 Uhr, feldfünf Berlin

Rrrr ist eine performative Forschung und untersucht das Medium VR als performatives Tool zur Entmantelung einer fiktionalen Wirklichkeit. Rrrr stellt dabei die Kernkompetenz von VR als Wirklichkeitsmaschinerie ins Zentrum der Untersuchung. Geforscht wird vis versa zu Konstruktion und Dekonstruktion von Wirklichkeit. Dabei stellt sich die Frage: Gibt es Wirklichkeit? Und wenn nicht, was bleibt dann übrig?
Am 10.12.2022 wird es eine Präsentation geben, in der die Forschungsergebnisse der Recherche präsentiert werden. Im Anschluss findet ein Publikumsgespräch statt, der Eintritt ist frei.

Around here, the holiday season tends to be a time for fairy tales: Das Helmi have drawn inspiration this year from The Devil with the Three Golden Hairs, transforming it into a trash puppet theater horror musical situated somewhere between a tale of revolution with a dash of Game of Thrones and a family therapy with the devil that speaks of the power of powerlessness and of clever and nasty strategies. She She Pop, in turn, present Walls as a mental extension of their previous piece Drawers; once more inviting guests from bother sides of the Iron Curtain to pull themselves together out of the mire of the world around them and the relics of their past, and to search for visions of possible futures together. And ONCE WE WERE ISLANDS invites you to a free live listening event: Homecoming- Greatest Hits! celebrates the release of their vinyl EP, for which they collaborated with 13 queer artists*. 

Herbordt/Mohren once again present Das Schaudepot and The Society in Stuttgart, and Sahar Rahimi is also traveling there with WOLF.

The trash puppet theater horror musical, loosely based on the fairy tale The Devil with the Three Golden Hairs by the Brothers Grimm, tells of the tale of the powers of powerlessness and of clever and nasty strategies. A revolutionary story with a pinch of Game of Thrones and a family therapy session with the devil.

"And the boy shrugged his shoulders and swung himself onto his donkey, whistling a strange little tune. Let the others worry..."

In their production Drawers ten years ago, She She Pop sat across from some of their East German contemporaries. Now, in a mental extension of  Drawers, She She Pop has once again invited various guests to share the stage or be connected virtually in their new production Walls. Together, they travel through time to past moments and possible futures. The journey takes the audience along walls that permeate how we perceive shared reality and its emotional impact. She She Pop and guests sift through the rubble of documentary material and combine it with futuristic camera technology to turn the stage into a time capsule. In it, our heroines try to pull themselves out of the quagmire of their present and the baggage of their past lives to look at possible visionary futures.

ONCE WE WERE ISLANDS: Homecoming – Greatest Hits!

For Homecoming — Greatest Hits! ONCE WE WERE ISLANDS worked in collaboration with 13 Queer artists who specialize in music, film, image, and text to create a constellation of artworks in response to the Queer language Damiá and the political and artistic qissues it raises. The multi-faceted performance consists of a vinyl EP of seven original songs in Damiá, a book containing liner notes, lyrics, portraits, and essays, and a series of short films. The work is accessible digitally via a website archive and in limited edition analogue formats. The vinyl EP and accompanying book will be released on 08 December 2022 at a free live listening event. Postal copies can also be requested, free of charge, in advance through the website.

Lunch break at the Schaudepot (performance): Every Wednesday, the Stuttgart artist duo Herbordt/Mohren open the Schaudepot for a quick performance during the lunch break. The program also includes tactile tours and performances with audio description or in German sign language. Individual appointments can be made from 12 pm am to 2 pm at info(at)die-institution.org. The wolf is dead, long live the wolf. Heralding in a new age, we celebrate with them the brief utopian moment of love and solidarity that will soon mutate into new forms of oppression. Borrowing heavily from the Red Riding Hood fairytale, WOLF tells a gory love story that permits a momentary glimpse of freedom before the revolution devours its children again in the eternal cycle of eating and being eaten.

Rabea Kiel and Matthias Meppelink: Rrrr

December 10th, 2022 at 6 pm, feldfünf Berlin

Rrrr is a performative research that investigates the medium of VR as a performative tool for the disembodiment of a fictional reality. In doing so, Rrrr places the core competence of VR as a reality-producing machine at the center of the investigation. Research is conducted vice versa on the construction and deconstruction of reality. This raises the question: Does reality exist? And if not, what remains?
On December 10th, 2022 there will be a presentation of the research results with an audience talk after. Admission is free.
